"They are You and I", a Holy Clockwork Angels fanmix by [personal profile] brilligspoons

As soon as she emailed me this I told her it was awesome, because when someone makes you a mix that's what you say. But then I actually listened to it and... it is really, really awesome.

I'm listening to it right now, as a matter of fact.

Also, her cover art is pretty.

They are You and I )
My only class got cancelled today, so I walked down to the lagoon and then up through the deserted garden allotments looking at everyone's peas and lettuce and tomato plants and freaking corn, my god, and peppers and cauliflower and such like, all shaded by handmade trellises and surrounded by weeds and palm trees and those climbing pink roses that I love more than anything.

And I came home and decided, fuck it, I'm not getting anything done today. A decision which I can't really afford, but, fuck it.

So I marinated some steak in garlic and salt and pepper and olive oil and orange juice and I made peach-ginger-lemon cobbler and biscuits with the leftover dough, because I always make too much. And I put too much milk in the dough, so the cobbler topping is a little thin, but peach-lemon-anything always tastes good, at least.

And I stir-fried the steak with broccoli and put it over pasta and had a glass of wine with dinner that affected me unduly, I feel. So I'm sitting here, thinking about getting up to get some cobbler, drinking wine, listening to Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen, and reading Wayfinding, which, in case you are sadly unaware, is [personal profile] rageprufrock's genderbent take on the beginning of SPN season four, and makes me feel... look, I just want to roll around in this story and love it forever and make out with it in a hammock all summer long.
